Promoting a drama series for television

I would like to introduce my first venture into writing with a project that I am very proud of.  I have written a crime drama series for television and the first episode was short listed as a finalist in the Red Planet Prize 2010.  I am looking for any helpful practical advice on how to go forward in 2011 and get it out there and in front of producers etc.

Without being naive, and fully understanding the difficulties a new 'unknown' writer faces, I want to get my face and the work out there in the big world.  All eight episodes of the first series are finished and I am on the second episode of the second series.  I really believe that it has HUGE potential and someone will see what I and a few others who have read it, see.
